In this exhibition, JoEllen Brydon draws from the archive of her mother, Jean Armstrong Brydon, who wrote as “Elizabeth Thompson” for The Globe and Mail from 1966 to 1978. A thoughtful and progressive voice, Jean’s columns captured deeply personal stories within a broader moment of social change, inviting readers into reflection and dialogue. Through painting and multimedia installation, Brydon revisits these materials to explore the complexity of lived experience and the narratives we construct, both for others and for ourselves. For more information visit the Gallery of Peterborough website HERE
